The Reyes family has been involved one way or another in the tobacco industry for 150 years. Spanning six generations, the Dominican-based Reyes family has largely made their name in the private-label industry, up until now. After establishing their cigar factory in 1990, they have now expanded into four different companies and sell their cigars worldwide. The success of their patented Fittipaldi brand, named after the Indy race car driver, allowed them to debut the Augusto Reyes Nativo cigar. Originally called Rey de Reyes, or King of Kings, the Augusto Reyes Nativo was released in January, 2006. It was first introduced at the wedding of Augusto Reyes and his wife, Monika Kelner (quite the famous last name). The Augusto Reyes Nativo was the first non-Cuban cigar to ever be smoked at the famous Epicure Cigar Club dinner in Spain. The Augusto Reyes Nativo was made to be a full-bodied, Cuban-style, powerful cigar.

The Augusto Reyes Nativo is made from 100% Dominican tobacco. The filler is comprised of Piloto, Criollo ‘98, Olor and some Corojo. The binder is Dominican Olor and the wrapper is made from quality Dominican grown Criollo ‘98. The Augusto Reyes Nativo is grown on a separate farm from the rest of their other crops, to insure a unique quality and taste.
