Berger & Argenti

The Berger & Argenti brand of cigars came about when the Argenti brothers, Al and Michael, teamed up with Enrique ``Kiki`` Berger of Cuban Crafters to produce a high end brand of cigars. Since their start in 2009, the company has made a name for itself as a highly regarded brand of hand rolled Nicaraguan smokes. Their first brand, Clasico, is encased in an Ecuadorian ``Desflorado`` Connecticut wrapper with Corojo binder and Nicaraguan Cuban seed filler. This is a medium-bodied smoke with notes of cedar and pepper that sports perfect construction and a smooth, manageable draw. Though not a new concept, the Clasico brand presented a new hallmark in traditional cigar production. After the Clasico came the Entubar line, which features a 1/4-inch protrusion of ligero tobacco sticking out of the foot of the cigar. This cigars have an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and rich Nicaraguan and Dominican filler. The ligero tobacco provides an extra kick of strength to the smoke, which is very earthy with notes of nuts and coffee. Berger & Argenti`s newest offering, Mooch, is a tribute to the generous smoker. The cigars come in boxes of 30 and are made for those who provide cigars for guests, hence the name Mooch. Each cigar is wrapped in a newspaper clipping from the day Kennedy signed the embargo against Cuba. They are wrapped in a sun grown Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper with a Nicaraguan binder and Cuban seed filler.
