NEW A. TURRENT CIGAR FROM THE INDUSTRY'S OLDEST FAMILY
In recognition of the Turrent family's 125th anniversary as cigar makers, Altadis U.S.A. is introducing A. Turrent cigars in the U.S. market. They will begin shipping this September.
The Turrent family history dates back five generations to 1880 when Alberto Turrent left Cuba for the fertile soil of Mexico's San Andres Valley. Today, led by Alberto Turrent IV and his son Alejandro, the Turrents are now the industry's preeminent family as well as Mexico's largest tobacco growers and makers of premium cigars. Over the years, their cigars have been honored with numerous awards, and their highly sought-after tobaccos are found in many of the world's most prestigious brands.
According to Alberto, the new A.Turrent cigars are very similar to the special cigars created over the generations and reserved for the family's personal use. These cigars were offered to the presidents, dignitaries and special guests that visited the Turrent's home.
The new A.Turrent is "medium to full-bodied" according to its maker and is hand-made with a Criollo San Andres wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and a selected blend of San Andres long filler tobaccos. It is available in five sizes: Corona, Robusto, Toro, Torpedo and Churchill.
