It was unheard of at the time to put high quality, premium, cigars in a bundle in order to save the customer some money. La Unica were these cigars, and as Carlos Fuente, Sr. selected the sizes, Stanford Newman approved the blend and they were on their way.
La Unica cigars are made up of a combination of specially aged Cuban-seed Dominican long filler tobacco, as well as either a creamy, mild Connecticut wrapper, or a rich Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper. In a mere six months after it’s introduction, La Unica cigars became the number one selling premium bundled cigar in America. Although the current La Unica cigar features the same blend and construction, it is no longer bundled, but instead presented in custom cedar cabinets of twenty. J.C. Newman Cigar Company has made sure that the price has stayed true to their original vision, and our customers will certainly validate this.
