Every year at the RTDA show, we find ourselves walking away with a few cigars that stole the show. In 2006, it seemed like Alec Bradley’s Maxx cigar was all anyone was talking about. It was a huge move for Alan Rubin, President of Alec Bradley, to go with a cigar that defined the word personality. These cigars had style, and the advertising and marketing that Alec Bradley has done for this cigar echo that. All this flash is great, but the cigar is what matters, right? After being huge fans here at BestCigarPrices.com, all of your major magazines have agreed with us and the Maxx cigar has started flying off our shelves. For those of you who like a nice cigar with a large ring gauge, the Maxx cigar is definitely the cigar for you, there’s nothing else out there to compare it to.
The Maxx cigar is made by Nestor Plasencia for Alec Bradley at the Plasencia factory in Honduras. The blend is based on what Nestor Plasencia makes for his own private collection. Maxx cigars have a delicious Nicaraguan Habano wrapper, as well as Costa Rican tobacco for the binder. This full bodied cigar uses a mix of tobacco from various countries for the filler, using tobacco from Mexico, Honduras, Colombia and Nicaragua. The Maxx cigar is absolutely delicious from the first puff all the way to the end. After The Curve received a 89 in Cigar Aficionado, as well as The Freak receiving an 88, these cigars have begun to take off. Also, giant cigar in the Maxx line, The Ego, received a 91 in Cigar Insider. Alec Bradley recently revealed that they are releasing the Maxx Traditional line in April, 2008 which will feature more traditional sizes such as Robusto and Corona. Keep an eye on BestCigarPrices.com for any new and upcoming Alec Bradley lines. As they come out we’ll be sure to have them.
