Hi, this is Brian with Best Cigar Prices. Today, I’m reviewing the Alec Bradley Sanctum. It features a Honduran wrapper, Costa Rican binder, and fillers from Columbia, Honduras, and Nicaragua. It was blended by Ralph Montero, Executive Vice President of Alec Bradley.
The cigar features a smooth, chocolate-colored wrapper and on the cold drag I detected hints of hay, earth, honey, and graham cracker. When I first lit it up, I was bombarded with black and red pepper, bread, and hazelnut. It took a while for the primary flavor to lock on, but when it did, it turned out to be bread, with a muted cream finish. Later on, the cigar started to develop some chocolate on the finish with a creamy cedar moving in on the bread. While Alec Bradley may have secured a foothold on the industry with The Tempest, and later on, The Prensado, The Sanctum is sure to win over the hearts of many a cigar smoker.
