Hi, this is Brian at Best Cigar Prices, and today I’m reviewing the Perdomo Craft Series Pilsner. The pilsner is a mild-bodied Connecticut meant to be paired with pilsners, blondes, white ales, cream ales, and light lagers.
It features a Connecticut shade-grown wrapper, a binder from Jalapa, and fillers from Condega.
The cold draw had a surprising amount of flavor, featuring heavy dense flavors of fig, earth, dark cherry, and vanilla. The cigar’s prominent flavor was soft wheat bread with a surrounding sweetness and pepper that lingered on the tongue.
In the second half it developed a savory, creamy earth in the finish, and I got multiple compliments on the aroma.
My pairing recommendations for this profile are Brooklyn Brown Ale, Grolsch, Trˆegs Sunshine Pils, Reissdorf Kˆlsch, and Bitburger.
The Perdomo Pilsner is a solid mild to medium-bodied Connecticut that will easily pair well with a lighter side of craft beers.
