BCP News Brief– New La Aurora Preferidos Diamond, New Sizes For Casa Magna
La Aurora’s newest addition to the ever-popular Preferidos line will feature a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, as reported by Halfwheel.com. First announced by Nestor Miranda back in April, this week the company confirmed that the cigar, the Preferidos Diamond, will come in the standard 5×54 Preferidos #2 vitola, and will be packaged in black tubes. The blend is set to premiere at the upcoming IPCPR trade show along with other new La Aurora stogies such as the re-branded Guillermo Leon & new Fernando Leon Reserva Familiar, and the 100 Años.
Another entry in the barrage of new smokes popping up just in time for IPCPR, Casa Magna will be introducing three new box-pressed vitolas to their Colorado line. The Casa Magna Colorado, a Nicaraguan puro produced by Nestor Plasencia in Nicaragua for S.A.G. Imports, will now be available in Gordo Real (6 ¼ x60), Toro (6 x50), and Short Robusto (4 ¼ x 54) sizes, all of which will feature box-pressed construction. In addition to the new box-pressed versions, the Colorado will also be offered in a new non-box-pressed 6×64 size called the Gigantor, bringing the total sizes now available for the cigar to a whopping 15. Look for the new Casa Magna cigars to hit shelves sometime in August.
