BCP News Brief – La Aurora 100 Anos Returns
La Aurora’s highly revered 100 Años line will be returning this summer in limited quantity, according to Cigar Aficionado.com. Originally released in 2003 to commemorate the brand’s 100th anniversary, the La Aurora 100 Anos contains a blend of 100% Dominican filler tobaccos and an aged Dominican Corojo wrapper, and was met with overwhelming praise and high ratings from various notable sources upon its release. Brand owner Guillermo Leon was quoted as saying “In my travels, the one question that has been constant is the request for Cien Años.” For the re-release the cigar will be available in three sizes: Robusto, Churchill, and Belicoso, and 20,000 cigars of each size will be produced. In addition to the return of the original Años, 7000 Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro-wrapped robustos will also be produced, offering an alternative to the much-sought-after Corojo version. The 100 Años is set to make its triumphant return in August at this year’s IPCPR trade show in Orlando.
