BCP News Brief – Prensado Churchill by Alec Bradley named Cigar Aficionado’s Cigar of The Year 2011
Last week Cigar Aficionado revealed their picks for the annual Top 25 Best Cigars list, and the #1 spot went to the Prensado Churchill by Alec Bradley. The Prensado is a box-pressed cigar featuring filler tobaccos from Honduras and Nicaragua, and a rich, dark wrapper from the Trojes region of Honduras. Handmade at the Raices Cubanas factory in Danli, Honduras, the key component in this full-bodied blend is the aged Trojes wrapper, a spicy, complex leaf with abundant sweetness and many distinctive nuances. This years’ nomination from Cigar Aficionado is the latest among many accolades this savory stogie has received since its debut in 2009.
We were happy to see this year’s top slot go to Alec Bradley Cigars, as we have long been fans of the brand, and consider their cigars to be among the best on the market, showcasing some of the finest blending and construction in the industry. In fact, three of our own exclusive brands are made for us by Alec Bradley: Medici, Star Insignia, and the Tempus Robolo, all of which are absolutely some of the best smokes ever to grace our humidor. All of us here at BestCigarPrices would like to congratulate the guys over at Alec Bradley Cigars for this victory, as we look forward to bringing you the best they have to offer for a long time to come.
