BCP News Brief – Get Ready For New Cigars!

IPCPR Trade Show Orlando 2012

At this year’s IPCPR show we picked up a lot of new and exciting products that we can’t wait to share with everyone!  Here are just a few cigars, of the many, you can expect to see arriving on our shelves over the next few months.

We’re particularly excited about the cigars released from the brand new CLE Cigar Company. CLE Cigars was recently launched by Christian Eiroa, formerly of Camacho, and gets its name from Eiroa’s initials (Christian Luis Eiroa). Two cigars we can’t wait to get our hands on are the CLE Cuarenta and the CLE Corojo. These Honduran handmades are rolled at the Tabacos Ranchos Jamastran factory, the Cuarenta will feature a Habano-seed wrapper, while the Corojo will use a corojo wrapper. Also newly released  from CLE is the Miami-based Asylum brand,  this cigar will come in three lines: the Asylum, Asylum 13 and the short-filler Schizo.

BCP C.O.O. Greg Fox samples the Rocky Patel HR500 with baseball great Gary Sheffield

Another cigar we are excited about this year is the new Rocky Patel HR 500 which is a special cigar blended to celebrate baseball legend Gary Sheffield’s 500th home run. This cigar is blended with a dark Ecuadorian Habano-seed wrapper along with filler tobaccos from Honduras and Nicaragua and features a Honduran binder. This is a limited brand as it reflects Sheffield’s unique 500th home run that made baseball history as it was also his first home run with the New York Mets. You can expect to see the HR 500 at later in September of this year.

Greg, Warren, and Altadis Rep Mike Godici enjoying the new Trinidad Paradox

The Trinidad Paradox by Altadis was also unveiled at this year’s IPCPR show and will be on our list of available merchandise later in September. This box-pressed cigar features a San Andres Criollo blend, Dominican Piloto binder and Nicaraguan filler and comes in four sizes: Churchill (57 x 7), Toro (54 x 6), Robusto (54 x 5) and Belicosso (52 x 6 1/8). This is the first time the Trinidad brand will be adorned in a San Andres wrapper, and early reviews have been extremely positive.

La Gloria Cubana is offering several new innovative stogies this year and brings out their creativity with the new Trunk Show line, including the Liga YG-23 and the Liga LR-1. The Liga LR-1 (which will be available the end of October) begins and ends with rare tobaccos each aged between eight and ten years. The Liga LR-1 is handcrafted with a double binder and features a silky Habano Connecticut Fino wrapper. What’s most impressive about the Liga LR-1 is its die-cut, smokeable band, something never before seen in the premium cigar industry.

All of these tasty cigars, and many more are on their way to so be sure to check back with us soon to order yours!
