BCP News Brief – La Aurora to Debut Maduro 107

La Aurora, the oldest cigar brand in the Dominican Republic, has announced plans to release a maduro-wrapped version of their highly-rated 107 cigar, according to Cigar Aficionado.

The La Aurora 107 was released in 2010 to commemorate the company’s impressive 107 years in business. The new version will feature the same interior blend as the original 107 cigar, but will feature a Connecticut Broadleaf instead of the blend’s usual Ecuadorian leaf wrapper. LaAurora President Guillermo Leon has stated, “We wanted the blend to be able to stand on its own and at the same time remain true to the cigar that celebrated an important milestone in our history.”

The La Aurora 107 Maduro was made available to Tobacconist Association of America members last month, and is set for a wider release in July at this year’s IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas.
