BCP News Brief: My Father Cigars To Release Flor de las Antillas
The legendary Garcia cigar family has added a new line to the My Father Cigars brand, which is set to ship sometime next week, according to Cigar Aficionado.com.
The new cigar, dubbed Flor de las Antillas, is a box-pressed Nicaraguan puro featuring a sun-grown wrapper leaf, and contains a blend of several Cuban-seed tobaccos. According to My Father’s vice president of sales Jose Ortega, the name “Flor de las Antillas” is a tribute to the Garcia’s native country of Cuba, which has often been referred to as “The flower of the Antilles.”
The line will be initially offered in four vitolas, Robusto (5×50), Belicoso (5 1/2×52), Toro (6×52), and Toro Gordo (6 1/2×56), and will come packaged in boxes of 20 featuring vintage Cuban artwork. Look for Flor de las Antillas to hit shelves sometime later this month.
