BCP News Brief – New size for La Aroma Mi Amor, Partagas 1845 Arrives
La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor has introduced the first size addition to the much-celebrated cigar line since its debut in 2010. The new size, the “Duque” is a 5 ¼ x 56 parejo that is the thickest of the box-pressed Mi Amors, according to Ashton vice president Sathya Levin. The Duque marks the sixth size available in the Mi Amor line, which earned an impressive 95 percent rating, as well as the #2 spot on Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 Cigars of 2011. Look for the La Aroma Mi Amor Duque to hit our shelves this week.
In other stogie news, the much-anticipated Partagas 1845 has arrived at BestCigarPrices. The 1845 is the first new Partagas to debut in many years, and is also the first to use an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. Billed as medium in strength and full in flavor, the 1845 is offered in four sizes, Corona Extra (4 ½ x 46), Double Corona (7 ¼ x 54), Gigante (6 x 60), and Robusto (5 ½ x 49). The guts of the blend are comprised of a Habano-seed Connecticut broadleaf binder and a spicy blend of viso, seco, and ligero Dominican Piloto-Cubano and Nicaraguan filler leaves, and early reviews have been very positive.
