BCP News Brief – Oliva Cigar Company Takes Over Padilla Distribution

A major distribution change has recently brought together Padilla Cigars and Oliva Cigars.

President of Padilla Cigars, Ernesto Padilla, told Cigar Aficionado that his company’s cigars will now be distributed by Oliva Cigars. The move, which will affect how Padilla cigars are sold in the United States and international markets, will expand Padilla’s distribution as well as its marketing and sales. Padilla is excited about both the partnership and being in the Sandra Cobras’ factory.

“They will get to do things they’ve never had the ability to do before,” Padilla said. “It’s all positive.”

Padilla is a considerably smaller cigar company whereas Oliva is larger, so combining the two companies was the right move. The partnership has been in the making for years.

“We’ve talked about this for many years, since Oliva was one of the original companies that I worked with when I started my brand,” Padilla stated.

After the distribution change Oliva will be distributing all Padilla products, however Padilla will continue to produce some lines at El Titan de Bronze in Miami. Padilla will also be undergoing a major revamp of his catalog offerings.

Padilla said he is delighted to have reached the arrangement and looks forward to future endeavors.
