BCP News Brief – Two New Co-Sponsors for H.R. 1639
Shortly after we published our last News Brief announcing United States Senator Dean Heller (R-NV) as the most recent addition to the list of legislators who support S. 1461, the Senate bill that petitions to protect cigars from harmful FDA regulations, the Cigar Rights of America announced that two more members of the U.S. House of Representatives have joined on as co-sponsors of H.R. 1639, known as the Traditional Cigar Manufacturing and Small Business Jobs Preservation Act of 2011.
Rep. Joe Donnelly (D-Indiana) added his name on September 20, and Rep. Kurt Schrader (D-Oregon) signed the bill on September 21. Their co-sponsorship brings the total number of co-sponsors of H.R. 1639 to 221.
