Established in 2014, the Nashville-based Crowned Heads cigar company’s annually released Las Calaveras series pays tribute to those we have lost with a different limited production blend each year. This year’s entry is teeming with earthy complexity, thanks to its oily, chocolate-brown Habano wrapper and an incredible arrangement of rich interior tobaccos from the Garcia family’s Nicaraguan farms. Earthy-sweet at its core, this complex smoke reveals nuances of dark wood, fruit, and cinnamon, along with a creeping red pepper undertone as its medium-full-bodied profile progresses.
