Filepe Gregorio Introduces Three New Lines
With spring in the air we’re getting excited to hear about all the new lines that will be coming out this year. One promising line that has just been announced is by Dominican cigar maker, Filepe Gregorio. Gregorio plans on introducing three new lines at this summer’s IPCPR show.
The Doppio Forza, Spitfire and Maximo Ligero will be Gregorio’s latest blends. This line will be comprised of mostly larger ring gauges, with an exception to the Spitfire being entirely made of 5 x 52 vitolas.
The first line, the Doppio Forza, will feature Dominican Criollo 97 over an Ecuadorian binder and Dominican Criollo 98 Viso and Nicaraguan Ligero. According to halfwheel.com, Gregorio described the blend the following: “Doppio Fora uses more sun grown Viso in its blends and is combined with a ligero from Condega Nicaragua that adds flavor to the strength giving complexity and roundness to the blend.”
The sizes of Doppio Forza are: Felipe Gregorio Doppio Forza Little David (4 1/2 x 55), Felipe Gregorio Doppio Forza Big Gun (5 x 58), Felipe Gregorio Doppio Forza Grosse Bertha (6 x 60) and Felipe Gregorio Doppio Forza Tiny (7 1/2 x 56).
The Spitfire will feature three different wrappers (Connecticut Ecuador, Crojo and Habana Marron) and will come in the following four vitolas: Felipe Gregorio Spitfire S (5 x 52), Felipe Gregorio Spitfire SS (5 x 52), Felipe Gregorio Spitfire SSS (5 x 52) and Felipe Gregorio Spitfire Selection (5 x 52).
The Maximo Ligero is a dual ligero blend that will be offered in one size, a 6 x 60. This cigar was described by Gregorio as the perfectly constructed cigar that allows the delivery of the ligero directly to your palate.
