New J.D. Howard Reserve To Be Added To Crowned Heads

A new cigar called the J.D. Howard Reserve is about to be launched by Crowned Heads and should be ready for the upcoming IPCPR Convention and Trade Show this July.

J.D. Howard was an alias used by infamous outlaw Jesse James. James went into hiding after numerous bank robberies that resulted in many members of his gang either killed or arrested. To avoid punishment and start a normal life James and his wife moved to Nashville, TN, which is also the headquarters of Crowned Heads. Upon learning of Jesse James’ connection to Nashville Jon Huber from Crowned Heads saw an opportunity to create a new cigar.

The J.D. Howard Reserve will come in five sizes and will feature a blend of a Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper, Ecuadoran Sumatra binder and filler from Nicaragua. The sizes are the following: HR46 (6×46), HR48 (5×48), HR50 (5 5/8 x 50) – Figurado, HR52 (6×52), and HR54 (5×54).

This new line will be made by Ernesto Perez-Carrillo at Tabacalera La Alianza S.A. in Santiago, Dominican Republic. The J. D. Howard Reserve will be a medium to full bodied blend and are expected to be ready to ship in August 2013.
