Star Insignia by Alec Bradley is Finally in our Humidor
After two years of talks, several months of blend testing, and several weeks of transit, our first shipment of Star Insignia by Alec Bradley has finally arrived. I can’t even describe to you the look on our marketing director Travis’ face after seeing the box of Robolos on his desk. He was out to lunch when the shipment came in and he literally sprinted into the door of the marketing department when he found out the cigars were here.
As you may know from checking our website (i.e. if you preordered some!), the shipment was supposed to come in about 10 days ago, but it was waylaid at customs in Honduras. We’ve been harassing our Alec Bradley sales rep like nobody’s business, and I’m sure he was as tired of hearing from us as we were of waiting for these cigars. But at long last, they’re here.
We’ve had a lot of exclusive brands over the last few years, from Revolucion and Oba Oba!, our Perdomo brands, to Prodigy by Rocky Patel and San Marco by Camacho. But there’s never been such a dramatic lead-up as there was for the Star Insignias. The cigars arrived in cedar boxes, and we got more of them than we have of any of our other exclusive brands. The stogies come in five sizes; 4 ½ x 60 Robolo, 5 ¼ x 52 Robusto, 6 1/8 by 54 Torpedo, 6 ¼ by 54 Toro, and a 7 x 50 Churchill.
To say that we’re excited about this release is an understatement—we’re enamored with these cigars. BCP staffers have been in and out of the marketing department for weeks getting samples from the test batch, and we haven’t heard a negative comment yet. We’ve also seen some buzz on puff.com, which is always nice.
Anyway, if you haven’t pre-ordered a box yet, now is your chance to get your Star Insignias. We did a review of the cigars a few weeks ago, but we’re going to another one in the near future, complete with more pictures. If you were lucky enough to preorder a box, you’ll get your Star Insignias in relatively short order, and we hope you like them as much as we do.
