Alameda

Alameda is one of Manuel Quesada's latest brands that ranks highly among the bargain smoker. The Quesada family opened their cigar factory called Manufactura de Tabacas S.A.(MATASA) in June, 1971. After being forced at gunpoint to leave their Cuban homeland, the Quesada’s relocated to Miami. The family was able to secure a loan and restart their business in the Dominican Republic. The Quesada family has prided themselves on creating quality Dominican cigars at a price that any smoker could afford. The Quesada’s have produced many quality lines, including Sosa, Fonseca, Licenciados and the Nat Sherman Nombre line. Alameda is certainly no exception to the rule. After debuting in 2001, Alameda has steadily won many smokers over with its premium quality at a bargain price. Alameda cigars have a Shade grown wrapper, with a Connecticut seed. A Brazilian binder and a Dominican long leaf filler round out this bargain cigar. BestCigarPrices.com carries Alameda in three different sizes. The Churchill is 6 7/8 x 48, the Toro is 6 x 50, and the Wavell is 5 x 50. All of Alameda’s cigars come in full dressed boxes of 20. At less than two dollars a stick, it’s no wonder that Alameda has become a staple in the bargain cigar industry for the Quesada family.
