Cigar Swami humidification products are precision engineered to maintain optimal conditions in your humidor, ensuring that your cigars rest and age exactly how they’re supposed to. Cigar Swami Cigar Genie Hydro-Gel Jars are filled with water crystals, which release purified water vapor into your humidor when hydrated in order to maintain approximately 70 percent relative humidity. These units feature a proprietary anti-fungal, anti-mold system and are self-regulating, meaning they will also lower the humidity level if it becomes too high. When the crystals in the Cigar Swami Cigar Genie Hydro-Gel Jar shrink down to the “add” line, simply add Cigar Swami PG Potion to the “fill” line and the crystals will absorb the solution. Remember to never use tap water to refill your Cigar Swami humidifier; the only way to ensure that your humidifier is working at its full capacity is to use Cigar Swami PG Potion.

Unable to say how well it works. Should have come with at least enough "juice" to use it the first time. Should have made it more obvious that you need to purchase the hydrating fluid up front.

These jar humidification devices are perfect for my cabinet style humidor. I have only had to fill it with PG potion once so far and it's been a month. My humidity stays pretty constant around 72%

This all depends on the relative humidity in your area, as well as how many cigars you are trying to keep humidified. Generally speaking these jars last a month or so before you have to refill them. All you have to do is keep an eye on the jar and fill with distilled water or PG potion. PG potion is recommended as it is anti-microbial.

Yes. Our product will still be activated and work just fine with distilled water. We always recommend to use our PG potion, since it is anti-fungal.
