Ever said to yourself in the middle of a stick, "man, this is a great cigar"? I say that with every one of the Epoca I smoke. Nice to find a new line that really strikes a chord with me.
Been smoking cigars for 21 years now and have tried quite a few. Typically I smoke a strong cigar, but I'm on my second box of these. Wasn't a Nat Sherman guy till my favorite cigar joint recommended I give this "new old line" a try. It's supposedly a reproduction of the original 1930 Epoca.
I'd say it's just a bit more than medium, max. For my palate, very pleasant from the start, but after the first inch, extremely satisfying. Darn near an honest to goodness Cuban taste, minus the sometimes overpowering strength of some Cubans. This is one of the rare cigars that I will smoke until my fingers or lips get burned trying to eek out the last puff or two, and I can count on one hand the number cigars I can say that about.
Very even burn too. Only touched up a couple out of the first box. While they're not cheap, 8-10 bux a stick depending on where you get them, I think they're worth it.
