The concept behind Illusione Cigars was to re-create a specific taste profile from years past. Before the Sandinistas took over in 1979, Nicaragua was growing some of the best tobaccos in the world. The cigars made from these prized fields in the Jalapa Valley and Esteli region were strong, bold and clean. Fast-forward to 2012 and these humble acres have been re-invigorated to once again yield their fullest potential, including the premium tobaccos found in the Illusione cigar. All Illusione cigars are made from first generation Corojo ’99 and Criollo ’98 seeds, wrapped with a grade one Café Colorado wrapper, and finished with a traditional triple cap in the premier Raices Cubanas factory. Made in small-batch quantities to maintain top quality and consistency, Illusione cigars deliver a satisfying taste and bold character rarely found in today’s cigar market.

These are among my favorite sticks and I don't favor a lot of sticks!
I am very picky and have been a regular cigar smoker for over a decade, smoking hundreds of brands, sizes and flavors. These are coveted by many!

Winning underdog

This is not a brand well publicized in the cigar world. I stumbled on it about a year ago and love it. I am an “active cigar enthusiast” and have made this my new daily smoke. It packs a good punch at a good price. Has a little bit of harshness on the manduro, but none in the natty. Get a box, well worth the price
