If your a fan of the bolder La Flor's then you really should try this cigar. But a word of warning; make sure you have plenty of time to enjoy it. This is a two hour cigar, at least!
As far as flavor goes it fits the profile of the DL La Flor's: Spicy, full flavored and chocked full of peppery smoke. It is best left to the seasoned cigar smoker who enjoys a fuller profiled smoke, but if that is you I think you'll enjoy this cigar. Personally I enjoy the Maduro much more than the regular DL700, and I have had tons of both.
Now this is a big cigar but I think that allows the double ligero to burn cooler. The construction has always been superb but with many larger cigars it's not uncommon to have to touch up the burn a bit. Also be sure and turn these frequently in your humidor as they will tend to humidify unevenly if left for long periods due to their size.

Great taste.

Excellent smoke. Very consistent flavor. Appear to be flawless and very well built. Earthy, woody, slightly spicy at the beginning. The wrapper is not very oily or shiny but looks good. Draw is perfect and burns well.

Excellent full bodied smoke from start to finish

This will be a favorite for those at the stronger (okay, others would say "harsher") end of the flavor/taste perspective. Unlike many strong and full bodied cigars, the Double Ligeros burn both evenly and slowly. These are a terrific smoke.

LFD has become my favorite cigar, especially the larger ring Double Ligero. I've tried a number of other LFD cigars, but keep coming back to the 700, prferably the Maduro. It is a full bodied, stout smoke with a consistent burn and flavored taste. I have favored Dominican cigars for a long time, but above all this brand.

I put it away for aging. So frankly I have no idea how good is this cigar but my intuition tells me I hit it home when I bought it. So I guess I am not gonna be disappointed

Best if you can put it away in your humidor for a few months, but it's great out of the box too. It ages well and develops a real nice bloom. It holds a long ash and almost never curls or cracks. Complex and full bodied.
