The original La Palina was founded by Sam Paley in 1896, and was originally a machine-made cigar. Today's incarnation of La Palina is undoubtedly one of the finest super premiums on the market. The cigars in the Family Series are all named after members of the Paley family, and are made from either Ecuadorian or Costa Rican wrapper leaves, Costa Rican binders, and fillers from Honduras and Nicaragua. This makes for a mellow-to-medium-bodied smoke with notes of cream, toast, caramel, and a little bit of pepper from the aged ligero in the filler.
This has a pepper start but really smooths out in the end
