Although not a part of the main lines produces by Romeo y Julieta, the Primer Lote made exclusively for BCP is a wonderful blend and well priced for its quality. Dry pull of sweet tobacco and chili on the tongue. Shaped as a trumpet with a small head opening to a 54 gauge foot with most of the body around 50 gauge. Easily lite, with flavor of chili, earth, and slight creaminess. Strong sweet cedar on retro-hale. Burn is slow and perfectly even, with rather perfect white ash demonstrating its quality wrapper. Cedar builds after first third in flavor, with leather present in aroma. Perfect balance of cedar, spicy chili, sweet tobacco in flavor with leather and hay in aroma at sweet spot. A nice leather aroma and cedar take center stage approaching the nub, finishing with a sweet and smooth note with cedar and a slight chili kick. This cigar deserves a rating of 91 and should be picked up whenever on sale.

Being a Romeo Y Julieta fan I find this to be an enjoyable smoke right down to the end. It has a smooth draw and good flavor. I often enjoy it with a bourbon or whiskey. Try it, I think you'll like it.

My Go To cigar is the RyJ Numero Dos but this Primer Lote Belicoso is a very close second. Full of flavor and notes of spice and vanilla very pleasurable smoke.

These are an interesting smoke and a great value for the money.
The flavor is a bit peppery with some complex notes. Every one so far has had a great burn and great construction. Strength is a solid medium, in the Habano range. I like to mix up my rotation but enjoy these Romeos each time I reach for one.
