With its blonde cap and extra-long pigtail that runs down the front of the cigar, the Punch Fu Manchu was designed to mimic the look of the evil Dr. Fu Manchu himself. Punch's latest limited edition celebrating the Lunar New Year, the box-pressed Fu Manchu is rolled using a Honduran habano wrapper, Indonesian binder, and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Mexico to introduce a complex and unique tasting profile. The Fu Manchu stays true to the tradition of fun packaging designed to look like takeout containers established by the brand's Egg Roll, Chop Suey, and Kung Pow releases of the past few years. Highly limited in production, this special release will be gone soon - get yours now!
Punch started doing these in 2019, but I was late to the party. Every year in honor of Chinese New Year, Punch puts out a themed cigar. The Fu Manchu was the 2022 one. This stick doesn't have the shaggy foot of its predecessors but it does have a tail coming down the cigar from the cap. This is stick is medium to full, I would say. I got notes of pepper, sweetness and cinnamon. I really enjoy this stick and the entire annual from Punch.
