Voted #5 Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 cigars of 2014!
Rocky Patel Royale is a medium-to-full bodied cigar that delivers loads of flavor and vibrant complexity. An elegant Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a robust mix of Nicaraguan and Honduran long-leaves and finished with Cuban-style box-pressed construction brings this rich blend to life. Notes of sweet spice and espresso transition to roasted almonds and leather with earthy undertones, all through the easy draw and even burn that has become Mr. Patel's cigar signature.

Top of the line so far. Great burn time, lasting ash, and best of all a great taste

I don't the Rocky Patel folks can roll anything but a great cigar. I change around from cigar to cigar and have had the opportunity to try many while living in South Florida. The Royal is a favorite, I tend to chew on my cigars before I light them so I can get a worth while taste of the tobacco - both wrapper and filler. Some cigars have a tendency to break down when I lip them for a while. The Royal stays firm. The Royal is a firm clean smoking stick, it has a nice firm ash, and smokes uniformly beginning to end. I am also a nub smoker an the flavor stays clean to the end, this is a great Rocky addition to my humidor.
BTW it goes great with a sip of top shelf Canadian whiskey.
