With over 20 years of experience working in both the front and back of house at multiple restaurants throughout Luzerne and Lackawanna counties, Eric Wagner currently serves as the General Manager of Best Cigar Pub. Born and raised in Hazleton area, he began his hospitality career at a young age cooking and serving for a family-owned restaurant. He continued to work in the area as a manager and chef while pursuing a marketing degree from Wilkes University. He was an integral member of BestCigarPrices.com marketing team for over 6 years prior to taking over as General Manager of the Pub.
As General Manager for Best Cigar Pub, Eric provides unique perspective and direction to ensure the quality and consistency of the day-to day operations of all aspects of the restaurant, lounge, and retail store.
In his free time, Eric loves spending time with his wife, Lindsay and their young son, Cole. They are avid sports fans, and enjoy spending time outdoors, and watching movies.
With nearly 20 years of restaurant experience to date, Dan was first introduced to cooking by his mother at a very young age. He received his formal training at the Atlantic Culinary Academy, a Le Cordon Blue school located in Dover, N.H.
Dan’s birthplace of Japan has strongly influenced his cooking style, which incorporates many Asian dishes and flavors. His favorite knife is a Shun Nakiri, Ramen is among his favorites to prepare, and he also specializes in pork dishes and enjoys putting his own unique twists on comfort food.
When he’s not in the kitchen Dan enjoys spending time with his family in the woods hiking, music, and is an avid Steelers fan. It’s truly an honor to bring Dan’s dedication, passion, and creativity to our Pub patrons.
Meghan has been involved in the restaurant business since 2000. She started serving and bartending while getting her degree in Education at Kutztown University, she came to the conclusion that the restaurant and her customers were what she really loved. She has worked in many places from taverns to fine dining restaurants as a server, bartender, and manager. Meghan was promoted to Bar Lead in 2020 and now Front of House Manager in 2021, assuming responsibilities for all functions in the restaurant, planning events, overseeing waitstaff and bartenders.
In her free time Meghan loves to spend time with her family. You will find her at the baseball field traveling with her son, Mason or in the woods hunting with her husband, Nick.
Charlie has been in the cigar industry for over 20 years, with his first decade being spent at a cigar factory working directly with cigar wrapper and binder. After 10 years in the factory, Charlie pursued a career in sales before realizing the "Cigar Lifestyle" was calling him back. Charlie returned to the cigar industry in 2011 when he found a home with BestCigarPrices.com. After many successful years as a Customer Service representative, then sales lead, the plans for our Pub had begun. Charlie is now the Lead Tobacconist in our retail store and you'll be hard pressed to find someone more knowledgeable in your local cigar store. Charlie spends his free time spending as much time outdoors as possible with his daughter, Layla and wife, Melinda.
David started his restaurant career as a line cook while studying for a degree in Computer Graphics/New Media from Luzerne County Community College. David worked as a Graphic Designer in the Marketing department for Best Cigar Prices in 2017 before expanding his food knowledge as a Sous Chef in Maine. He missed the BCP family and came back to work as Marketing Lead for Best Cigar Pub in June 2020. David knows the BCP Pantone colors by heart and his favorite program is Adobe Premiere. In his free time, he likes to skateboard, go to the drive-in movie theater, cook, or enjoy live music.
Since her youth, Sarah has always found an enjoyment in the culinary field. At the age of 15, she started her first job as a soup cook in a restaurant in her hometown. While in high school she attended Vo-Tech for culinary arts, where she decided this would be her career path. She continued to grow and expand her creative mind and abilities until she found her place at the Best Cigar Pub. Here she has shown that she is very innovative and adaptive to every challenge that has been put in front of her. Her work ethic is of great value to us and goes far from unnoticed.
In her time of leisure, she enjoys gaming, playing basketball, and spending time with her dogs.
Danielle’s love for the restaurant industry started in high school where she attended CCTI in Jim Thorpe, PA for Culinary Arts. Then, she went to Johnson & Wales in Charlotte, NC for Hospitality Management. While in school she got a job at a restaurant working as a hostess and continued to move up, always making sure she learned every aspect of the industry along the way.
Danielle is now the Lead Server at Best Cigar Pub. She assists management with daily needs of the restaurant, ensures our guests have the best experience possible, and plays an important role in training of front of house employees. She is a hard worker, team player, and a valued member of the Best Cigar Pub.
In Danielle’s free time she enjoys going fishing, hiking, spending time with her dogs, and trying different cuisines with her friends and family.
