Brick House is a J.C. Newman brand that strives to bring smokers everywhere an affordable cigar without sacrificing quality. The brick house depicted on the packaging was J.C. Newman`s childhood home, the only brick house in his village. This house also acted as the town`s tavern; locals and visitors used to gather at the brick house to eat, drink, smoke, and tell stories. Brick House cigars were originally a Cuban puro, made entirely of tobacco from Havana by J.C. Newman. This resurrected cigar is made by J.C. Newman`s grandchildren, Eric and Bobby Newman, with an oily Havana Subido wrapper and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. It features notes of nuts, spice, and some recognizable maple syrup sweetness. The cigars were given a rating of 90 percent in Cigar Aficionado, and were named the best bargain cigar of 2009. They were also given a 91 rating in A Cigar Smoker`s Journal.
