New Cigars 9.2.15.
Greetings, Smoke People. I come bearing great news – we’ve just unpacked a $#!*load of excellent new cigars that landed on our loading dock over the past week. Here’s the skinny:
Avo Syncro Nicaragua:
You might want to break out the cedar spills and smoking jacket, because Avo has unleashed another classy creation to suit your fancy. The new Avo Syncro Nicaragua cigar features a silky Ecuadorian-grown Connecticut wrapper and Dominican binder. The Nicaraguan Ometepe tobaccos that the line is named for are joined by a smooth mix of Peruvian and Dominican leaves in the filler. The resulting cigar is perhaps the most complex Avo blend yet, delivering layered flavors of sweetness, rich earth, cashews and subtle cocoa through sturdy box-pressed construction. This one comes in four unique sizes, each of which are very reasonably priced for the top-notch quality they present.
If you’re not ready to pull the trigger on a box of Avo Syncro Nicaragua just yet, you can also check it out in the Avo Quartet 2015 Sampler, which showcases the Syncro, Classic, and Domaine blends, as well as an exclusive Avo “Mystery Cigar” that is only available in this pack.
La Flor Dominicana Air Bender Maduro:
Sporting a new blend comprised of an Ecuadorian Habano Maduro wrapper and Dominican binder and fillers from the company’s La Canela farms, La Flor Dominicana’s once-limited-edition Air Bender Maduro is now a regular production line that we expect to house on our shelves for a long time to come. These full-bodied boomsticks offer up deep notes of cocoa, smooth spices, and a touch of earthy sweetness, along with an enticing woody aroma that will catch the attention of those around you. It’s safe to say that if you’ve been picking up what La Flor’s been putting down thus far, this cigar will be right at home in your humidor.
Miro Capa Negra:
New from the fine folks at Kuuts Cigars, the Miro Capa Negra uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers to conjure up loud tasting notes of earth, cocoa, sweetness, savory spice, and more. Despite this ruckus of rich flavor, the Capa Negra retains the cool creaminess that made the original Miro a home-run hit. Handmade in Honduras, these sticks will appeal to any smoker looking for hearty, nuanced flavor that coats the palate.
Got Your 6:
Named for a military slang term meaning “I have your back,” or “I’ve got you covered,” Got Your 6 cigars are a unique creation from Exactus, Dominican makers of the Puro Ambar Legacy. Using four distinct wrapper leaves to create the look of camouflage, these sticks are not only striking in presentation, but damn smooth and tasty as well. A combination of Dominican Olor binder and Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Pennsylvanian long-fillers rests beneath a Connecticut wrapper decorated with cuts of Candela, Sumatra, and Habano leaf for a uniquely flavorful, creamy and peppery profile. Truth be told, this isn’t the first camo-wrapped cigar that we’ve seen, but it is the most well-constructed and even-burning specimen of its kind that we’ve lit up. All in all, Got Your 6 is “a good piece of gear” for military buffs, as well as anyone just looking to kick back with something a little different.
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the cigars in our inventory. Stay tuned for more updates coming soon.
Peace, love, and plume – Jason
