J Fuego Americana Robusto (5×50)
W: Pennsylvania Sun Grown Broadleaf
B: Cuban-seed Costa Rica corojo
F: Hon. Corojo, Nic. Criollo
Factory: Tabacos de Oriente S.A., Danli, Honduras
With the J. Fuego Americana cigar, respected blender Jesus Fuego fulfills his goal of creating a blend centered around American-grown tobaccos. There hasn’t been an abundance of press surrounding the Americana, and truth be told, it was the gorgeous PA Broadleaf wrapper on the cigar that initially piqued my interest.
Notes:
Flavor Report: Smoky Oak, burnt caramel, black pepper, cocoa, cinnamon/nutmeg, red pepper, jalapeno, peanuts, cream, Marzipan
Overall:
9/10 – An extremely rewarding smoke for fans of complex, full-bodied cigars. This was easily my favorite reviewed cigar in recent months.
