Among the most popular ACID cigars—each infused with proprietary herbs, botanicals, and essential oils—Kuba Kuba, Blondie, and Krush each have unique blends and formats that set them apart.
First, let’s talk about ACID Kuba Kuba. Available in the original Sumatra-wrapped blend, or Maduro and Candela options, Kuba Kuba are far and away the most popular ACID cigars.
Then there’s ACID Blondie. With similar selections to Kuba Kuba, the original is wrapped in a Connecticut leaf. Additionally, Blondie comes in Maduro, Cameroon, and Gold (Sumatra) blends.
ACID Krush is comprised of several cigarillo blends, each coming in tins and sized smaller than most premium cigars. You can get Krush in the following selections: Blue, Purple Morado Maduro, Red Cameroon, Gold Sumatra, and Green Candela.

Most ACID Kuba Kuba cigars come in a Robusto size measuring 5″ x 54, though the Kuba Deluxe is available in a 6″ x 50 Toro size.
Across the Kuba Kuba lines, strength sits comfortably in the medium range, with the Maduro blend inching into medium-to-full-bodied territory.
ACID Kuba Kuba: creamy, sweet, herbal, aromatic notes of vanilla, and mild spices
ACID Kuba Kuba Maduro: earth, chocolate, vanilla, and warm spices
ACID Kuba Kuba Candela: floral, grassy, sweet, and finishes with zesty spice

Blondie cigars are typically 4″ x 38, putting them somewhere between a typical Corona vitola and a cigarillo. They’re also offered in a Belicoso size measuring 5″ x 54 with a tapered head.
The original Blondie is the mildest of the entire ACID lineup, whereas Blondie Maduro, Gold, and Candela all fall into the medium-bodied category.
ACID Blondie: honey, citrus, light spices, and cedar
ACID Blondie Maduro: light-roast coffee, toast, herbs, and zesty peppers
ACID Blondie Gold: tangy notes of citrus, cedar, and dark fruit
ACID Kuba Kuba Candela: floral with notes of sweet grass, caramel, and earthy spices

ACID Krush cigars are cigarillos measuring 4″ x 32. They’re meant to be smoked when time is short and burn for about 15-20 minutes.
Most of the Krush blends are medium strength, with two exceptions: Blue smokes mild, and Morado Maduro’s experience is closest to full-bodied.
ACID Krush Blue: (similar to the original Blondie) honey, fruit, faint spices, and cedar
ACID Krush Purple Morado Maduro: espresso, baking spices, caramel, and fiery spices
ACID Krush Red Cameroon: lightly sweet with moderate spices, and a hint of pepper
ACID Krush Gold Sumatra: sweet, tangy, and herbal with moderate spices
ACID Krush Green Candela: vegetal, floral, and lightly grassy with hints of vanilla and cedar
You may have noticed by now that ACID’s flavor profiles closely match their cigar band colors. Bands that are blue, red, gold, and green, for example, all have similar flavor and strength experiences. Use these colors as a handy guide to ‘cheat’ and find the best ACID in a blend and size suited to your tastes and how much time you have to smoke.
Choose blue bands if you prefer milder cigars with lower levels of pepper and spice.
Choose red if you prefer cigars in the middle of the road in terms of strength, but prefer a slight emphasis on spiciness
Since ACID blends with gold bands tend to be zesty and naturally sweet, they’re big hits with folks who want more flavor than a mild cigar offers, without venturing into fuller-bodied recipes.
With Candela wrappers and flavors that lean grassy, vegetal, and lightly sweet, green-band ACID cigars are best for smokers who either already like Candela cigars or who prefer a strong emphasis on earthier flavors.
Smokers with a lot of experience, but who still want something sweet, will find what they’re looking for in ACID cigars donned in purple bands.
Now that you have a basic understanding of the differences that make up some of the most popular ACID blends, it’ll help you ‘hack’ the rest of their portfolio. Whether you’re looking at the cigars we’ve covered here, or something like ACID Toast, Extra Ordinary Larry, and beyond, the color coding works the same.
