Asylum 13 Cigars with Tom Lazuka (video)

Tom Lazuka of Asylum Cigars took a few minutes to tell us about the widely successful Asylum 13 cigar line.

Hi, I’m Tom Lazuka, co-founder of Asylum Cigars. I’m here to talk to you today about our number one selling product, which is the Asylum 13. We launched this cigar about two years ago. It became very popular in the market because we went to very large ring gauges, so we’ve gotten known for making the 7 by 70’s, also the 80 by 7, and the Asylum 13 Nicaragua. It’s available in a Lancero now also, a 50 by 5 and a 60 by 6.

It’s 100% Nicaraguan tobacco. It’s a dark Habano wrapper with Esteli and Jalapa fillers and it’s a nice medium to full-bodied cigar. Asylum 13 also pairs well with coffee; anything with rich, kind of dark notes to it pairs very well with it. It pairs well with bourbons and things like that.
