Crowned Heads Cigar Azul y Oro Coming to Best Cigar Prices

When you stop to take a look at Crowned Heads’ portfolio, you’ll find an array of premium blends for every palate. Now, they are adding to it with their first cigar made in conjunction with Nicaraguan American Cigars S.A. (NACSA): Azul y Oro.

The Azul y Oro cloaks its rich Nicaraguan and Dominican filler tobaccos in a deep-brown Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. These 6 x 50 parejo sticks burn straight and clean, unraveling a deliciously complex taste. From dark chocolate to leather, the cigar’s flavor notes take you on an exhilarating ride, all against a peppery backdrop.

So how did this limited edition blend come to be? Well, according to a press release, it’s a nod to how the founders of Crowned Heads—Mike Conder and Jon Huber—first met Gustavo Cura of NACSA. Conder and Huber gave Cura a bottle of his favorite whiskey as a gift, and this spirit unwittingly sparked the inspiration for Azul y Oro. Even the cigar’s name, which translates to “blue and gold,” is a reference to the whiskey’s label.

Much like a small batch of whiskey, the Azul y Oro is a very limited release. Only 2,500 of the 12-count boxes will be made available. You’ll have to act fast if you want this inaugural collaboration between Crowned Heads and NACSA for your own humidor. Preorder yours with Best Cigar Prices to ensure you get the best deal possible.
