The Diamond Crown Cigar Lounge Opens Its Doors Again

In case two Stanley Cups in a row weren’t enough, Tampa Bay Lightning fans have another reason to celebrate. The Diamond Crown Cigar Lounge, located in the Lightning’s Amalie Arena, is reopening for the ‘21-’22 season.

Last season, the NHL was in a strange place. Rules for attendance varied from team to team, and many businesses in the stadiums were closed. That was the case for Tampa’s Diamond Crown Cigar Lounge last season. But now the lounge is opening back up at its usual spot on the fifth level of the Chase Club.

Operated by J.C. Newman since 2010, the Diamond Crown Cigar Lounge has become a staple of Amalie Arena. Unlike similar facilities in other NHL arenas, this lounge isn’t just a smoking room with the game on a TV. It’s the only cigar lounge in the league where you can light up while watching the live action.

As J.C. Newman’s president and owner Eric Newman put it, “I can think of no better way to watch hockey than with a Diamond Crown cigar.” We’re inclined to agree. So whether you’re a season ticket holder or planning on attending your first Bolts game, you should consider stopping by for a stick. Keep in mind that entry to the Diamond Crown Cigar Lounge is reserved for fans with tickets to the Chase Club or Lexus Lounge.
