Don Jose Pepin is the CEO of El Rey de los Habanos, Inc., more commonly known as Don Pepin Cigars. Based in Miami, Florida, Pepin Garcia is one of the most skilled cigar makers in the industry and is responsible for creating some of the most popular cigar brands in the world.

Pepin was born into a family of tobacco growers and cigar makers in Baez, a small town in the Villa Clara province of Cuba. Pepin was introduced into the cigar industry at a young age, and at 11 began working in a family-owned cigar factory. Pepin spent 30 years in Cuba perfecting his skills as a torcedor and making a name for himself in the cigar industry. He won numerous awards for his blending skills and was well known for his fast pace and attention to detail. Pepin was repeatedly compared to a magician by the Cuban press. Pepin once won an award for rolling 320 7×48 cigars in four hours. In 2001, Pepin left Cuba for Miami, FL, and in 2002 he opened his own factory, El Rey de los Habanos. Pepin strives to create cigars reminiscent of the Cuban style. He uses the highest quality Nicaraguan tobacco in his medium to full-bodied cigars. Pepin’s cigars are made in traditional Cuban style and are finished with a triple cap. Pepin not only creates his own brands of cigars, but also creates brands for major clients, including Tatuaje, and house brands for several cigar stores.
