Beer & cigar lovers here in Northeast Pennsylvania are in for a treat with some real local flair – our friends down the road at the Susquehanna Brewing Company have just released the perfect IPA to pair with our 601 Pennsylvania Edition by Espinosa cigars.
Boasting a cool look based on the Pennsylvania license plate design, the Susquehanna Brewing Co.’s NEIPA No. 7 (6% ABV) is a hazy IPA brewed with Mosaic and Citra hops and loaded with tropical fruit aromas. A New England IPA, this latest installment in the brewery’s NEIPA series offers a fuller body and smoother taste than typical IPAs.
The NEIPA No. 7’s bright tasting profile makes for an interesting contrast with the smoky, woody, and sweet flavors of our 601 Pennsylvania Edition by Espinosa.
Hand-rolled at La Zona cigars in Esteli, Nicaragua by the makers of the 94-rated Laranja Reserva, the 601 PA Edition was blended in tribute to the rich tobacco history of our home state, and also features branding based on the blue-and-yellow PA license plate. Combining the finest of Nicaraguan tobaccos under a hearty Habano Oscuro wrapper with a single Pennsylvania Broadleaf in the filler, our 601 Pennsylvania Edition brings you real Pennsylvania flavor with a satisfying medium-full body in every stick.
Available in cases or 4-packs, the NEIPA No. 7 is currently available for pick-up @ Susquehanna Brewing Company in Pittston, PA. NEPA locals will want to check out Susquehanna Brewing online for details on how to get their hands on some here: https://sbcbeer.square.site/, and follow SBC for updates on future releases on Facebook.
As for the 601 Pennsylvania cigar, you can grab that regardless of your location right here.
Happy pairing, and cheers!
