As you may recall from one of our recent blogs, Drew Estate was set to reveal a brand new cigar blend during their June 8 Freestyle Live stream. Well, they did just that, and now we might be more excited than we were before the news. That’s because it is now official that we are getting a new addition to Drew Estate’s Liga Privada collection: the H99 Papas Fritas.
The new blend is a unique combination of their H99 cigar and the Papas Fritas construction. The Papas Fritas concept, which Drew Estate has been offering for over a decade, is a novel take on the mixed-filler approach to cigars. While most mixed-filler cigars combine premium long-filler tobacco with various trimmings to make a solid budget smoke, Papas Fritas cigars use trimmings from the top-shelf tobacco used in other Liga Privada blends. The trimmings are even sorted to maintain consistency.
For the H99 Papas Fritas, Drew Estate has been saving trimmings from past H99 cigars to offer a mixed-filler stick like no other. In the words of the company’s Master Blender, Willy Herrera, it’s a “flavor bomb,” and that is likely an understatement. Not only is it packed with filler tobaccos from Honduras, Nicaragua, and Pennsylvania, but it’s cloaked in the H99’s tasty Corojo hybrid wrapper.
Measuring 4 ½ x 44, this is a nice, easy smoke with a price tag that’s just as easy on your wallet. Get yours at Best Cigar Prices before they’re gone!
