Luciano’s Foreign Affair Cigars Showcase the Tobacco of Several Countries

First revealed earlier this year at the Total Product Expo, the Foreign Affair line is a brand new blend from Luciano Cigars—home of The Dreamer and Fiat Lux. As its name suggests, the Foreign Affair doesn’t exactly rely on a single location for its tobacco. Instead, distinctive tobaccos from several different countries were combined to form an intriguing, nuanced cigar.

At the heart of the blend is a combination of long-filler tobacco from Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, and Costa Rica. This is within dual binders—one from Nicaragua and one from Ecuador—and cloaked in an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper leaf. The result is a balanced flavor that tempers strength with sweetness.

The Foreign Affair was a creative project that was helmed by the co-founder of Luciano Cigars, Luciano Meirelles himself. Working alongside him was the co-owner of Astorian Cigar Co., Frank Cossio, and the regional sales manager at Luciano, Mike Dounoulis. New York aficionados may also remember Dounoulis as the general manager of the iconic SoHo Cigar Bar.

Now, the fruits of their labor are available for all to enjoy. Better yet, you can get your hands on the Foreign Affair at a steal of a price when you buy from BCP. Choose from three different sizes: Toro Extra (6 1/2 x 52), Rothschild (4 1/2 x 48), and the Corona (5 5/8 x 42).
