West Tampa Tobacco Company may be a new name to cigar lovers, but they are grounded in decades of experience in the field. The company’s founder, Rick Rodriguez, grew up in West Tampa, and his grandparents’ tales of rolling cigars in Cuba bolstered his early interest in the craft. Before long, he was studying under titans of the industry, including the likes of Benji Menendez.
Now—after 25 years with General Cigar—Rick has teamed up with his colleague, Gus Martinez, to create West Tampa Tobacco Co. The new brand is making its debut with two no-nonsense blends, aptly named Black and White. Of course, you can find both blends right here at Best Cigar Prices.
The Black features a Nicaraguan binder and luscious filler leaves, all within an Ecuadorian Habano maduro wrapper. The result is a delightfully complex smoke that perfectly balances spice and sweetness. Pick this one up if you’re looking for a medium-bodied blend with a distinct flavor profile and a crisp, clean finish.
The White blend showcases another Nicaraguan binder, but with mellow filler leaves and a unique, pink-hued Habano wrapper. For those who prefer a smooth, easy-to-smoke cigar, you can’t go wrong with this one. Creamy tones of vanilla mingle with spicy, earthy flavor notes to make the White a smoke like no other.
Regardless of which blend speaks most to you, you can find it at a rock-bottom price here at Best Cigar Prices. Both Black and White are available in three distinct sizes: Robusto (5 x 50), Toro (6 x 52), and Gigante (6 x 60).
