A New 4 x 48 Triqui Traca

The Mi Querida Triqui Traca line is named after a Nicaraguan term that refers to two firecrackers tied together. Perhaps that’s why Dunbarton waited until the days following 4th of July weekend to announce a new vitola for this explosive cigar series.

As with the other entries in the series, it’s named after its size. Measuring 4 x 48, this stogie will be known as the Mi Querida Triqui Traca No. 448. If you were unsure whether or not you could handle the full-bodied Triqui Traca, this compact size may be a good place to start.

On the other hand, if you aren’t familiar with these powerful cigars, here’s a breakdown:
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan and Dominican
Wrapper: Connecticut Broadleaf
Country of Origin: Nicaragua
Factory: Nicaragua American Cigars S.A.

Mi Querida Triqui Traca No. 648

The Triqui Traca replaces the original Mi Querida wrapper with a new No. 1 dark corona Connecticut broadleaf. This wrapper cloaks a powerful Dominican binder, as well as long-filler Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos. The result is a blast of strong, spicy flavor with each pull.

If that sounds like the kind of cigar you’d want in your humidor, then we have good news: you don’t have to wait long to try out the new vitola. Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust will be unveiling the No. 448 on July 10 at the Premium Cigar Association’s Trade Show in Las Vegas. Then you just have to keep an eye on our online store—it should be hitting our shelves soon after!
