More Photos from the IPCPR – World’s Biggest Cigar

We broke the news of the world’s biggest cigar back in June when photos leaked during its construction. Turns out that it’s not just an attempt to set a world record — this cigar is just another size in the Gran Habano Corojo #5 line. Named the El Gigante, Gran Habano actually has a part of its staff dedicated to building these enormous cigars which are fully intended to be smoked. They even created a special device that attaches to the cap to allow 40 people to smoke the cigar at once. The MSRP on these larger-than-life sticks is $200,000, which includes a custom-built wooded travel case for the cigar and a trip to the factory to oversee its production. Word at the IPCPR was that they had already made a sale.

Now that we’ve witnessed it first-hand, we are simply in awe. Here’s a photo of our buyer Warren with the El Gigante:

And here’s another of the whole cigar:

Definitely a magnet of attention at the convention. We’re sorry to say we won’t be stocking the El Gigante in our online retail store… the shipping alone would be astronomical. But we do love staring at this monstrous freak of nature, ever impressed that the thing is actually smokeable. Check the stats:
