The PCA trade show was a busy time for the Rocky Patel brand. Not only did they finally unveil the much-anticipated Rocky Patel Sixty, but other blends as well. Perhaps most notable is a pair of cigars releasing in the coming months that will appeal to very different tastes.
Sporting a bright Connecticut shade wrapper, the White Label is geared towards those looking for lighter smoke. Its Honduran binder hugs an even-tempered blend of Nicaraguan and Honduran filler tobaccos, plus one additional filler tobacco that Mr. Patel is keeping a secret. What isn’t a secret is that the White Label will come in four sizes: Robusto (5 x 50), Toro (6 ½ x 52) , Churchill (7 x 48), and the Sixty (6 x 60).
If you’re looking for a cigar with a bit more of a kick to it, Rocky Patel has you covered there too. Their Disciple blend showcases robust Nicaraguan fillers and a Nicaraguan binder, all cloaked in a stunning San Andres wrapper. Though its flavor profile is wildly different from the White Label, the Disciple is also set to come in four sizes: Robusto (5 x 50), Toro (6 x 52), the Sixty (6 x 60), and a perfecto called the Bala (5 ¾ x 58). The Bala features a unique closed foot that is pre-punched.
Keep your eyes peeled for 20-count boxes of both of these Rocky Patel cigars hitting our shelves in the months to come. The Disciple is expected to be available some time in September, but the White Label won’t be around until the holidays.
