Why settle for one when you can have two? It’s a question that applies to everything from cookies to beer to…broadleaf tobaccos. This is (presumably) the spirit behind the Rocky Patel Double Broadleaf Selection (DBS). However, unlike many cigars that “double up” on a leaf, the Rocky Patel DBS does not refer to its wrapper.
Instead, there’s a broadleaf variety in both the binder and the filler of this medium-bodied blend. A peppery Pennsylvania broadleaf is featured in the binder, coupled with Nicaraguan tobacco. The broadleaf in the filler is also Nicaraguan in origin and is complemented by premium Honduran filler. This unique use of broadleaf tobaccos is concealed beneath a deep brown Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper.
All of this adds up to an intriguing smoking experience. Along with the spicy kick of the broadleaf, the cigar also imparts an undeniable sweetness. Tasting notes include chocolate, espresso, and even cherry-like fruitiness. If any of that sounds enticing (and it should), then we have good news: as of this writing, the Rocky Patel DBS is currently in stock here at Best Cigar Prices!
