I am smoking one of the loveliest cigars ever, the Arturo Fuente Rosario. First, it has the most delectable looking wrapper – a dense, reddish-brown color, which tasted of raisins before it was lit. The Rosario is perfectly rolled to the touch, broad-shouldered within its gauge and released a neat plug to the punch cutter. It is built to burn like a dream. Even my poor job of roasting the foot could not impede its desire to fire straight and offer a sumptuous draw. The flavors start out on the smoothest base. This tobacco is clearly well-aged all the way through the blend, which allowed me to pause heavily with the smoke and research the sweet wafting. It has a smack of leather without the drying note. There is a hint of melon that rolls off the tongue, thanks to the wrapper, that reminded me of the heyday of the Pleiades line. As I get to the half-way point of the cigar, the profile becomes more familiar. A dry, toasty note creeps into the fold and brings the cigar firmly into a medium body. A true delight to the nub! — Scott
