Robert Wright on Pura Soul Cigars

Longtime Jazz musician and cigar man Robert Wright talks about his new Pura Soul cigar line, one of our favorite new blends of the year.

Transcript:

Eiroa was part owner of the brand. He invested. He believed in me. I worked for him with the Camacho Cigar Company as V.P. of Sales and National Sales Manager, and he knew that this was a passion of mine, is to have a brand that I developed, represent. And he gave me the opportunity.

It’s a Nicaraguan blend. It’s very full flavored. It has a lot of complexity. I did my due diligence in taking my time and trying to find a blend that I believe in and can represent.

I’m also a musician of 40 years, so I want to bring the music element of jazz to the experience of smoking a good cigar. I think that’s something that’s not really appreciated as well. We all know about pairing cigars with wine, bourbon, and whiskey. But I think we’re missing something special when it comes to incorporating blues, some nice easy-listening jazz, Latin, whatever it might be to the cigar experience.

I’m very excited about it. I did a lot of homework, and hopefully, you’ll be one to carry it and your customers will love it.
