Look, La Aurora’s lineup of cigars is far from boring. In their portfolio, you’ll find everything from gem-colored tubos to the 20-inch-long Stravaganza. However, it should be noted that some of the brand’s most popular cigars come in modest packaging with a simple name. With a new sampler available at Best Cigar Prices, you can try out three of these celebrated blends for a steal of a price.
As with the other cigars in this sampler, its name tells you two things: the wrapper used, and the first year in which La Aurora used that wrapper. Obviously, they’ve been working with corojo wrappers for quite some time, and this cigar is proof that practice pays off. Its beautiful corojo wrapper imparts flavors ranging from earthy cedar to roasted nuts and even cinnamon.
As the mellow blend of the bunch, the La Aurora Connecticut 1987 offers much of the creamy smoothness you’d expect. However, by the time you get to the final third of this cigar, there will be many pleasant surprises. Some of this blend’s unique flavor notes include citrus, black pepper, and shades of coffee usually reserved for maduros.
Speaking of maduros, the La Aurora Maduro 1985 sports a stunning Brazilian wrapper with an oily texture. Beneath that is a Dominican binder, along with Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. The resulting flavor profile is rich and satisfying. Full-strength notes of pepper and leather are tempered with hints of coffee and cocoa.
For less than $35, this value-packed cigar sampler includes two of the Corojo 1962, two of the Connecticut 1987, and one of the Maduro 1985. Don’t miss your chance to add these classics to your humidor.
