Last weekend, May 17th-19th, we hosted our inaugural Smoke-onos Cigar Festival at our company headquarters in Drums, PA. Roughly 800 enthusiasts and industry professionals gathered in a celebration of smoky excellence that will go down in history as one of the greatest cigar parties of all time, and we’re proud to have been a part of it.
The fun started early on Friday with the first annual Smoke-onos Golf Tournament at Sand Springs Country Club as players worked their way through 18 holes carved out of the Pennsylvania woodlands. You could follow the course of the game by tracking the voluminous trail of smoke it left in the air behind it.
Later, we lit up the evening with our Brews, Bourbon, Blues, and BBQ pre-party, Sponsored by Rocky Patel Cigars, at our on-site cigar lounge and restaurant, the Best Cigar Pub. The excellent James Supra Band provided live blues jams as we ate, drank, and rocked into the night.
On Saturday, we warmed up with an awesome Breakfast & Bloody Mary Bar sponsored and hosted by Nick Perdomo before kicking off the main event. Attendees were greeted with an official Smoke-onos swag bag stuffed with goods, including 30 premium cigars, a commemorative beer mug, and other exclusive accessories to prepare them for the day’s festivities. Over 30 of the world’s top cigar makers were in attendance for our huge meet and greet as fans walked the property, meeting these stars of the industry and taking advantage of exclusive cigar deals. Jonathan Drew of Drew Estate, Rocky Patel, Rafael Nodal of Aging Room, Erik Espinosa, Sean Williams of Cohiba, and many others were all there in one of the most star-studded line-ups of all time. Drinks were flowing, a delicious complementary lunch was served, and not even a steady pattering of rain could put a damper on the amazing time that was had by all.
When the sun went down, the party continued with our Smoke-onos Bonfire After-Bash Sponsored by Drew Estate, with DJ Eli spinning the hits as Brand Ambassador Pedro Gomez kept us dancing through the night. As the raging fire blazed on into the sky, so did many a fine cigar.
Finally, we capped off the weekend with Sunday morning’s Smoke-onos Brunch. Our famous Pub brunch buffet, complete with Bloody Marys, Eggs in Purgatory, smoked kielbasa, and much more, filled everyone up and added one last happy memory before they hit the road.
